I'll dominate 'legitimate combatant' Paul - Joshua
Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight round fight which will be broadcast live on Netflix.
British boxer Anthony Joshua declared he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "defeat" the American as the combatants confronted each other to promote the upcoming bout.
Former twice world title holder Anthony Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge mismatch - at Miami's arena on 19 December.
Boxer's Attitude
"I'm going to break his face and break his body up. I'm here to prove my superiority," the British boxer, 35, stated.
"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I intend to really want to cause him pain. That's my goal."
Respectful Interaction
Despite these statements, a calm Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - usually famous for his theatrics - were respectful and maintained decorum with each other.
Jake Paul rather targeted ex Joshua opponent the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "not serious" after the Cameroonian rejected a fight offer.
Targeting Fury
Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, took aim at British rival Tyson Fury - and declined a large bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul victory.
"[Paul] is superior to Tyson Fury - he showed up," the boxer said.
"I respect him for that."
Serious Opponent
Despite declaring he will hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his opponent's pugilistic talent.
"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he remarked.
Paul's Background
Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has mainly fought MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.
He lost to Briton Fury in 2023.
Financial Success
However, the inexperienced fighter remains one of boxing's greatest commercial attractions, consistently making huge earnings.
Forecast and Belief
The 28 year old predicted a stoppage in round four or five and asserted he would stop the much-anticipated match between Joshua and Fury, which is apparently in the works for two years from now.
"It's going to be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul said.
Size Disparity
As Joshua and Paul met for the traditional stare-down, with their size difference clearly visible, it emphasized just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how amazing it is that the bout is really going ahead.
